On 24 September 2009 the Associate Minister for Social Development and Employment, Hon. Tariana Turia, launched A Guide for Carers, which has practical advice about how to get help. The Guide was then updated and re-launched by Minister Turia in May 2011.
This resource has been developed by Carers New Zealand, the New Zealand Carers Alliance, and the Ministry of Social Development.
