This section of our website is for those supporting an older person. Many of the articles have appeared in the Older Family Care section of our magazine. If you don't currently receive Family Care, please request your quarterly subscription by phoning (0800) 777 797, or email tanya@carers.net.nz
You can find many sources of help in our Caring Community section (click on the orange menu bar, above, and go to the Support Near You category). Other organisations which support older people can also help; you will find some of their links in the menu bar on the right.
We recommend that carers of older people read our Help and advice section, which has links to Government agencies that provide support for carers. You can also find our Work Life Care! section there, with advice for working carers and their employers.
Over time this section of our site will contain articles from experts, interviews with those who work with older people and their family carers, and stories about other carers (often the best source of advice and inspiration). You can find many other stories in our Caring Community section.
